"Pulling" your own credit information from each of the three major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian) will not take any points off of your score.

*NOTE: Credit monitoring services do not give you your real FICO scores!

• You can apply for your Free Credit Reports once per year at www.annualcreditreport.com. (You may also apply for your Free Reports if you have been declined credit or are a victim of ID theft.) Call 1-877-322-8228. Your reports are free, however, each bureau charges for your FICO score and each bureau will rate you differently. It is important to have all 3 reports and all 3 scores, as creditors and collection agencies do not necessarily report your information to all 3 credit bureaus.

• Call each credit bureau to order your FICO scores. Each bureau will charge you their current fee.

         TransUnion:    1-800-888-4213, ext. 2

         Equifax:           1-800-683-1111

         Experian:         1-888-397-3742

• Click on www.myfico.com to pay for your FICO scores and reports for all three bureaus.

• Contact your mortgage or financial representative.  Pulling your credit this way may lower your score a few points.
